September’s Ontario Football League schedule ended with the Niagara Generals unable to muster much offence.

The Tier 1 bantams, peewees and atoms all lost on the road, while the Tier 2 bantams forfeited their game to the Oshawa Generals, also on the road.

Jackson Stewart threw touchdown passes to Nick Longo, Nolan Banga, Quinn Johnston and Cody MacRae in a 56-30 loss to the Scarborough Thunder in Tier 1 bantam action Saturday.

Ryan Broome kicked three, two-point converts and Lucas

Hazelton intercepted two passes for the Generals who fell to 2-4 with two games remaining in league play.

Niagara hosts the London Jr. Mustangs 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Kiwanis Field in St. Catharines.

A touchdown from Austin Macrae accounted for all of Niagara’s points in a 26-6 loss to Scarborough in peewee play.

The Generals lost their fifth in a row to fall to 1-5.

“It was a few minor mistakes that cost us the win today,” head coach Bruce Macrae said. “Trying to adjust these issues is going to be our focus going into the playoffs.”

Saturday’s noon kickoff at Kiwanis Field has the peewees lining up against London.

A 38-0 loss to Scarborough was the third straight for the Generals after starting the atom season 2-0.

They host the Durham Dolphins 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Wrapping up a full day of football at Kiwanis Field are the Tier 2 bantams, 1-4-1. They are scheduled to take the turf field against the Waterloo Predators at 5 p.m.
