Yoga, meditation by the falls on summer weekends
Niagara Parks expands wellness series schedule
There’s no better way to connect with nature than by spending a little time in it — and the Niagara Parks wellness series offers up the opportunity to reset while doing just that.
Namaste Niagara returns this summer with an expanded schedule, offering people the opportunity to take part in an incredibly unique yoga class or an extremely serene setting for guided meditation.
The yoga class, set on the lower platform of Journey Behind the Falls, will include an early morning restorative yoga practice by instructions from In Fine Feather Yoga set against the backdrop of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, with its thunder as the soundtrack.
People wanting to slow down may be interested in the guided meditation sessions at White Water Walk, where participants will focus on their breathing while enjoying the early morning access and boardwalk views along the white water rapids. The mindful meditation session will be led by Swapna Krishnamoorthy.
Both activities will include brunch at one of Niagara Parks’ Feast On certified restaurants along Niagara Parkway.
“In addition to health, wellness and spiritual benefits, our Namaste Niagara events provide opportunities for both local residents and visitors to see Niagara Parks through a different lens and experience locations they may have been to before, in a completely new and exciting way,” said Niagara Parks chief executive officer David Adames.
