Hope that protests will no longer be necessary

-

People counter the phrase“Black Lives Matter” with“Blue Lives Matter” and“All Lives Matter ,” as if one phrase must dominate another. I know my life matters, you know your life matters, my neighbours and friends know their lives matter ... and I can assure you that if I or you or my neighbours and friends ever felt that we were being treated as less than the next person, we would surely protest and speak out against such unfairtreatment.

The horrid person, who accosted a woman to pro claim that ALL lives matter, then proceeded to spit upon her, only provided more purpose to the Black Lives Matter cause. Is this how you demonstrate that ALL lives matter, sir? In my opinion, that man deserves to be charged with assault. I look forward to the day when protests for equality and humanity are no longer necessary, be that Black Lives Matter, or Pride, or poverty and homelessness, or mental illness. Life is too short NOT to learn early on that we are all ONE HUMAN RACE with enough differences to keep us interesting. Bev Miles, Omemee
