Whether you have lived in the area a long time or are a firsttime visitor, you’ll want to enjoy the Trent Valley Archives’ Eerie Ashburham Ghost Walk.

It brings to life the dark side of Ashburham, now known as Easy City.

Each Friday in August from 7:30-9:30 p.m, you can expect to hear great storytelling as guides lead you by lantern’s light through the streets and alleys of the old village, sharing stories of the ghosts it’s said still haunt the community.

You can take a trip back to 1916 to discover the century-old ghost who stalks the corri de rs of Quaker O ats since the deadly fire that killed more than 20 people or learn about the worker who appears periodically at the Lift Lock. And you can learn about Chappy, the resident ghost at the Peter borough Theatre Guild.

Each year TVA brings local history to life by telling these stories about people and events in the Peterborough area. Staff and volunteers organize bus tours, pub tours, pageants, writing workshops, bike and walking tours which help bring attention to archives, genealogy and history of the Peterborough area.

More info about these activities and the historical resources at TV A is available at www.trentvalleyarchives.com

The cost of the E erie Ash bur ham Ghost Walks is $15 per person and reservations are required. This tour is not suitable for children under 12. Please contact Heather at TVAat705-745-4404orbyemailat admin@trentvalleyarchives.com Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
