Ducktona600

This year’ s Duck to na 600( named for the 600 yellow plastic ducks that floated down the river) was a resounding success. The members of the Omemee Lions along with sponsors Omemee Century 21 and Darling Insurance worked hard to raise funds for community activities. Countryside Pharmacy and Bethany’s Williams Design Studio helped to sell the tickets.

While the ducks are back in storage for this year, plans have already started for next year’ s event. The year 2017 will mark the 150 th anniversary of Canada’s founding as well as the 60th anniversary of the founding of the O me me eL ions Club. Who knows, we may see Canadian colours and Lions’ logos on some of the ducks? Only time will tell.
