TUESDAY, AUGUST 30

ART: The Kawartha Artists Gallery and Studio at 420 O'Connell Rd. presents Black & White + One Colour, an all-members show and sale of art in black and white with maybe one additional colour added. MUSEUM: The Peterborou­gh Museum and Archives presents the What Lies Beneath - Canadian Shipwrecks of Lake Superior exhibit until Sept. 18. The exhibition tells the largely undocument­ed stories of many but not all of the ships that wrecked in Canadian waters - passenger liners, war ships, freighters, ghost ships, yachts, fishing boats and tugs. Featuring dozens of artifacts, and supplement­ed by local collection­s. On loan from the Thunder Bay Museum. The museum is located on Hunter St. E. atop Armour Hill. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekdsays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Admission by donation.

LEGION: Final Cruise Night of the summer. Come out and view the classic cars and enjoy a hamburger, Sausage on a bun, hot dog and cold drink/water. There will be music from the 1950s and 1960s.

SENIORS: Whitlaw Mariners Seniors Club, located at McDonnel St. Activity Centre, has shuffleboa­rd session at 10 a.m. Cards are also played on Tuesdays, with bridge at 1 p.m. and bid euchre and regular euchre at 7 p.m. For those unfamiliar with bid euchre, lessons will be offered on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. until June 27. New this season, on Tuesdays, the Centre will also be offering Chair Yoga at 9 a.m. and Regular Yoga at 10:30 a.m. Chair Yoga is $30 for ten one-hour sessions and Regular Yoga is $45 for ten one-and-a-half-hour sessions.
