High school orientations this week

Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board high schools are holding orientation events this week to help Grade 9 students transition into high school.

The big change this year for the public board is that Lakefield District Secondary School has closed as a high school with its students now attending Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School in Peterborough.

Peterborough city and county

• Adam Scott Collegiate: Thursday at 11 a.m.

• Crestwood Secondary School: Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Kenner Collegiate: Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• Norwood District High School: Thursday, from 6 to 7 p.m.

• Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School: Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to noon, with an optional info meeting for parents from 9 to 10 a.m.

Northumberland County

• Campbellford District High School: Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon

• East Northumberland Secondary School: Thursday at 9 a.m.

• Cobourg Collegiate Institute: Sept. 6 at 8:30 a.m.

• Port Hope High School: Sept. 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Clarington

• Clarke High School: Thursday at noon

• Courtice Secondary School: Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Clarington Central Secondary School: Thursday, from 10 a.m. to noon

• Bowmanville High School: Sept. 6 at 8:15 a.m.

The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board is also holding orientations this week, including Thursday at Holy Cross Secondary School.
