BLOOD: Mayor Daryl Bennett and Jewell Bennett are hosting their seventh annual blood donor clinic at the Canadian Blood Services permanent clinic on George St. N. The drive continues Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
ART: The Kawartha Artists Gallery and Studio at 420 O’Connell Rd. presents Black & White + One Colour, an all-members show and sale of art in black and white with maybe one additional colour added. MUSEUM: The Peterborough Museum and Archives presents the What Lies Beneath Canadian Shipwrecks of Lake Superior exhibit until Sept. 18. The exhibition tells the largely undocumented stories of many but not all of the ships that wrecked in Canadian waters - passenger liners, war ships, freighters, ghost ships, yachts, fishing boats and tugs. Featuring dozens of artifacts, and supplemented by local collections. On loan from the Thunder Bay Museum. The museum is located on Hunter St. E. atop Armour Hill. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekdsays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Admission by donation.
