Collapsible baton used

Police arrested a man, 25, after an incident that included an alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend’s new partner at a city home Sunday. Police say the man used a collapsible baton during the altercation. He was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a weapon. He was released and is to appear in court Oct. 20. His name was not released to protect the identities of the other people involved.
