What’s open and closed for New Year’s Day
New Year’s Day is a holiday so most stores, banks and government offices will be closed.
While New Year’s Eve is not a statutory holiday some places will close up early Saturday.
The Examiner will not be published Monday and our offices will close at noon Friday and will be closed on Monday.
