THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2

MUSEUM: Arresting Images, exhibit of mug shots from the Ontario Provincial Police Museum in Orillia, continues until March 26. The museum is located on Hunter St. E. atop Armour Hill. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays. Admission by donation. THEATRE: There are just three performanc­es left of The Gin Game, the latest production at the Peterborou­gh Theatre Guild, from Thursday to Saturday with the curtain going up at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults; $18 for seniors and $11 for students. TAI CHI: Tai Chi, taught by George Kerr, at Murray Street Baptist Church, 175 Murray St. (use back entrance). Classes for beginner students take place Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to learn about the benefits of Tai Chi to both body and mind. ASTRONOMY: The Peterborou­gh Astronomic­al Associatio­n (PAA) meets at the Rotary Education Centre Guest Services Building at Riverview Park and Zoo. Prior to the regular meeting, from 6 until 7 p.m., club member John Crossen will conduct Getting Started in Astronomy, a free program for novices in astronomy. The regular meeting, beginning at 7 p.m., will include a presentati­on by John Crossen entitled The Forgotten Computers: Women in Astronomy.
