SWIMATHON: The 31st Annual Rotary Carl Oake Swimathon, in support of Easter Seals and Peterborou­gh Rotary Club projects, runs from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Peterborou­gh YMCA on Aylmer Street.

GAME JAM: PTBO Game Jam 02 returns, hosted at the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre at Fleming College's Sutherland Campus, 599 Brealey Dr. A showcase of the talent of local game developers. Runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and continues Saturday and Sunday. Free. ptbogameja­m.com.

MUSEUM: Arresting Images, exhibit of mug shots from the Ontario Provincial Police Museum in Orillia, continues until March 26. The museum is located on Hunter St. E. atop Armour Hill. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays. Admission by donation.

ART: The Kawartha Artists Gallery and Studio presents Petals and Pitchers, a floral and still life art show and sale. Runs until March 12 at 420 O'Connell Rd. ART: The Kawartha Arts Network's presents Eastern Art Through Western I's, an exhibit of Chinese brush painting by local artists Richard Sauve and Bruce Young. Both have been practioner­s, in this medium, for a substantia­l period of time, yet each one offers his own perspectiv­e; their pieces are unique. HERITAGE DAY: Annual Heritage Day event runs all day at the Buckhorn Community Centre, Lakehurst Road, Buckhorn. Bring your skates for the ice rink or borrow some from the equipment room for free.
