Juke Box Mania moving to Memorial Centre

- EXAMINER STAFF

Juke Box Mania is back. Corporate table registration is now open for the annual fundraiser, which pits teams against one another in a lively night of “name that tune.”

The CCRC event sells out every year ... so this year, it’s happening in a larger space. This year’s event will be held at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on April 28, with actress Linda Kash returning as honourary chairwoman.

“This year we are doing things a little differently,” Kash states in a release. “We have made the move to the Peterborough Memorial Centre to accommodate the growing demand of evermore participants. Ten local caterers will provide a beautiful and delicious array of appetizers and desserts throughout the evening.”

In addition to the catered dinner, the night features a variety of live musical trivia challenges as teams, often dressed in colourful costumes, try to rack up points in a non-stop, high-energy musical challenge Name That Tune-style event.

Visit www.ccrc-ptbo.com for sponsorship information or to sign up for a table.

This year’s media sponsors are The Examiner and Corus Entertainment.

Each table of eight is $1,000, with the funds going to CCRC programs and services. CCRC assists the homeless and offers affordable counselling and credit advice for more than 7,000 households in Peterborough City and County.

Organizers encourage companies and organizations that can’t attend to donate silent auction items or support the Juke Box Hero peerto-peer fundraiser, which will be launched in March.
