A free minor lacrosse clinic will be held Sunday morning on the Memorial Centre carpet prior to Sunday afternoon’s Memorial Centre debut of the Peterborough Timbermen of the Arena Lacrosse League.
The Timbermen, who picked up their first win of their debut season over the weekend, are teaming up with the Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association for the clinic from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
PMLA members (both those currently registered and those intending to register) are invited to participate. Participants need to bring helmets, gloves and a lacrosse stick. All Timbermen players will be on the floor instructing the kids.
The PMLA will also have a table set up in the Memorial Centre lobby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those who haven’t registered yet.
The Timbermen will face the Oshawa Outlaws at 1 p.m. while the St. Catharines Shock Wave will face the Toronto Monarchs at 4 p.m.
Children will be invited back on the carpet to play during the intermission of the Timbermen game.

Tickets purchased for the March 17 Toronto Rock-Colorado Mammoth game at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto will not include free enrolment in a skills camp to be held this summer.
Instead a portion of the funds raised via ticket sales will help bring a skills camp to Peterborough this summer featuring the Toronto Rock and past team captain/NLL champion Colin Doyle.
