Once again, everyone is invited to join in toe-tapping fun at the 12th annual Juke Box Mania on Friday, April 28 at the Peterborough Memorial Centre, 151 Lansdowne St. W. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the game runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This annual event is organized by CCRC, the Community Counselling and Resource Centre, to raise money for its professional services that help people make positive changes in their lives.

“This year promises to be even more fun as Juke Box Mania grows into the larger space at the Memorial Centre and offers new food options from local chefs,” says Hanah Howlett McFarlane, manager, philanthropy and fund development.

Hosts Catherine Hanrahan and Carey Walker will lead up to 500 people in the “name that tune” game, with colourful costumes, contests and prizes. The evening also includes a silent auction, cash bar, and food from 11 local vendors serving up their finest appetizers, beverages, and desserts all evening.

Since its inception, Juke Box Mania has raised more than $138,000. CCRC welcomes those wishing to register a sponsor table or community tables to act quickly, as tables for the event are already 70 percent sold out. Corporate tables start at $1,000 and community tables are $480 for tables of eight people. Last year the funds raised at Juke Box Mania provided 448 hours of client support.
