INCOME TAX: Volunteers doing free income tax results from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. on a first come, first served basis at Activity Haven Centre, 180 Barnardo Ave. Individuals with $30,000 or less income or families with $40,000 or less income qualify. Bring all T4, T5, RC62 and T2202 slips plus rent or property tax info.

ART: The Kawartha Artists Gallery and Studio presents Spark at KAGS, a photography show also featuring related works of art inspired by photography in participation with the SPARK Photo Festival. Runs until May 4. The gallery is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m.. Admission is free. At 420 O’Connell Rd. 705-741-2817. www.kawarthaartists.org.

QUIET ZONE: At Murray St. Baptist Church, 175 Murray St. Sanctuary is open from noon to 1 p.m. for a time of quiet. Eat your lunch or meditate away from the hustle and bustle. ACTIVITY HAVEN: Lunches are held every Wednesday, $6.

LEGION LUNCH: 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.. Come out and try homemade dishes from the Legion’s in-house cook. $7.
