BARBECUE: Morello's Independen­t Grocer hosts a fundraiser, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. For a local cycling team, The Peterborou­gh Derailleur­s, in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. The Ride is a 220 km, 2-day bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls to raise money to go towards cancer research at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

EARTH DAY CLEANUP: Jackson Park and along the Trans Canada Trail as it follows Jackson Creek, 10 a.m.-noon. Bags and gloves will be provided to all participan­ts.
