Sponsors for Alpha
Lindsay racing team signs on with Thorah Insurance Brokers Ltd.
Thorah Insurance Brokers Ltd. has signed on as a major sponsor of the Alpha Motocross Racing, the Lindsay-based amateur racing team and recreational riding facility announced this week.
A family owned and operated insurance brokerage, Thorah is knowledgable and passionate about Canadian motocross and motorcycles in general, stated a press release. They’ve spent many weekends at the track and look to make Thorah a household name in their favourite sport becoming a lead sponsor of the Alpha Motocross Team and track.
“We’d love to see the Alpha Motocross program grow,” stated Chris Gretton, president of Thorah Insurance Brokers Ltd.
“We’ve known Alpha Motocross’ owner Kyle (Keast) for a long time and have always enjoyed following his racing career from his days at local amateur races to professional events across North America. He’s become a very marketable rider and influential personality at the track. With the launch of his family’s Alpha Motocross Riding Facility in Lindsay and their newly formed amateur support team it’s an excellent platform for
Thorah to increase our exposure at a local, regional and national level.”
The Kawartha Lakes area is home to a large population of motocross and off-road riders, but there are not many legal, safe and professionally run places to ride, states the release.
“Now that the Alpha Motocross Track is opening its doors, it provides ample opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy riding their dirt bikes,” said Gretton. “As the official insurance partner of Alpha Motocross, Thorah is proud to be able to support both the recreational rider and serious racer.”
For Alpha Motocross, this new partnership increases their ability to support up and coming Canadian amateur racers and deliver a professional riding and training facility.
“It requires a team of motivated, enthusiastic and organized individuals to maintain a high level racing team and dirt bike track,” stated Keast, manager of the Alpha program.
“Thorah Insurance Brokers Ltd. is committed to the recreational growth of motocross riding and seeing young Canadians chasing their dreams at the races. It’s an encouraging thing to see new people and companies, like Thorah, stepping up to support our sport.”
The next event for the Alpha Motocross Team is Sunday at the
Moto Park Racing facility in Chatsworth, Ont.
