Ladies of the Lake tour returns to Little Lake

Trent Valley Archives is having its Ladies of the Lake walking tour of Little Lake Cemetery. This year it will run in the spring and fall on May 21 and Sept. 10 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The tour centers on several wellknown women who are buried at the cemetery as well as those not so famous. Participan­ts will learn about women such as Isabella Valancy Crawford, Charlotte Nicholls, Almira Foley, and Lovina Weir. Lakefield Trail Committee

Local woodworker Harry Pearson has crafted two Muskoka Rocking Chairs in beautiful clear pine (no knots) and donated them to the Lakefield Trail Committee for raffle this summer.

The Ennismore Library Book Sale will be on May 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lower level of the library at 551 Ennis Rd. in Ennismore. If you are interested in donating books to the sale, please contact your local branch.
