- CAROLINE MCCONNELL fundraising@yahoo.ca

Come out to the Peterborough Field Naturalists’ (PFN) monthly meeting Wednesday and learn about the Jackson Creek OldGrowth Forest.

Guest speaker is Michael Henry, the lead researcher and forest ecologist behind the recent study ‘Jackson Creek Old- Growth Forest’ by Ancient Forest Exploration and Research.

Henry will discuss the 4.5 hectare urban old-growth forest along Jackson Creek, where some trees are as old as 250 years old, predating the original settlement of the Town of Scott’s Plains, which is now Peterborough.
