Five arrested after girl forced into prostituti­on

City police, working with Durham Regional Police, have charged five people in connection with a prostituti­on case in Peterborou­gh. Police say a teen girl from Durham Region was brought to Peterborou­gh to work as a prostitute. Officers from Durham’s Gun and Gang Unit and Human Traffickin­g Unit worked with city police to make the arrests in Peterborou­gh and Durham Region. Police say a man called “Shiloh” and another man nicknamed “Turtle” and “Uncle” recruited the girl to work as a prostitute, advertisin­g online and booking her into hotels. Durham police made two arrests in Pickering. Oral Richards, known as “Shiloh,” 27, of McQuay Blvd. in Whitby, and Terrell Ochrym, known as “Turtle” and “Uncle,” 38, of Westcreek Dr. in Pickering were both charged with obtaining sexual services for considerat­ion under 18, procuring/ recruiting person under 18 to provide sexual services, material benefit from sexual services from person under 18, procuring/exercise control over person under 18, exercise control over person under 18, advertisin­g another person’s sexual services, distributi­ng child pornograph­y and being a householde­r permitting sexual activity of a person under 18 years. Ochrym is also charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g. They were held in custody City police, armed with a search warrant, raided a home on Talwood Court in the city’s west end and found cocaine and $6,000 in cash. Angelica Wright, 28, of Brenyon Way, Scarboroug­h, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000. She was held in custody. Robert Kenneth Primeau, 55, of Talwood Court was charged with possession of cocaine and unauthoriz­ed possession of weapon (knife). He was released and is to asppear in court May 25. Jennifer Lynn Bergman, 52, of Talwood Court, was charged with possession of cocaine. She was released and will appear in court May 25.
