Millbook Fair opens

MILLBROOK - The 168th annual Millbrook Fair opened Thursday and continues until Sunday at the fairgrounds in the community southwest of Peterborough in Cavan Monaghan Township.
Agricultural exhibitions, activities and games for family and kids and a midway are all part of the fun.
On Friday, the fair has a PA day special, with all-you-can-ride passes for $15 until 2 p.m. Gates open to the public at 4 p.m., with a petting zoo and the official opening ceremony at 6:45 p.m., followed by truck and tractor pulls and live music with Dean James in the beer barn (age of majority only, $2 cover charge.
The fair continues Saturday (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Sunday (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with an Xtreme Cowboy Competition, beef cattle shows, a parade, antique tractor pulls, horse shows, 4x4 Tough Truck Competition and more.
Day passes are $10 adults and seniors, $7 for youths 11 to 18, free for kids 10 and under. $2 parking fee. Weekend passes: $20 for adults and seniors, $15 for youths 11 to 18, free for kids 10 and under.

Parade Judging and awards east of secretaries’ building 12:30 p.m. Antique Tractor Pull begins at track. Horse-drawn wagon rides, free until 4pm. 6:30 p.m. Truck and Tractor Pulls. SUNDAY
