Two people are accused of trying to cash a stolen cheque. The cheque was allegedly stolen by a woman from a Lansdowne St. E. motel room sometime between June 6 and 8. A man then tried to cash the cheque at two separate financial outlets but was denied. One of the businesses called police. Two suspects were identified and the male suspect was located Wednesday walking near Stewart and Dalhousie streets. The female suspect went to police headquarte­rs Thursday and was arrested. Mackenzie Douglas Atchison, 20, of Dalhousie St., is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, two counts of using, dealing or acting on forged document and failing to comply with a probation order. Tessa Gail Sicard, 20, of Westcott St., is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of being party to the offence of using, dealing or acting on forged document.
