Wynne’s vote-buying strategy could work

-

Shelby Lawrence really sums up the reason for the Ontario Government’s recent proposed spending spree of our tax money plus debt. Buying votes. Shelby however left out one extremely important consideration. The Ontario Government’s strategy may work!

Don’t forget, the Liberals will do anything to get re-elected. Anything! Even compromise the health of our Province by taking on unprecedented debt.

Unfortunately, today’s society does not appear to be concerned about our children and grandchildren’s future. It appears they’re more concerned about their immediate wants.

One has to ask themselves a few basic questions about our provincial government.

(1) Why didn’t all of these initiatives take place when they were elected?

(2) Why is the government selling off billions of dollars of public assets? Answer, to falsely balance the budget and for them to say “look at what we did.”

(3) Do we really believe all of these promises will actually take place? Jeff Leal has publicly told us it still has to go through public consultation. Which makes one ask, why wouldn’t you seek public consultation first before making these broad-based promises and announcements? My bet is public consultation will likely last until the next election and if the liberals get in they will drop many of the promises. How obvious and devious can you be?!

I am deeply saddened by such attempts to manipulate the public to get votes and using our tax dollars to do so. Where has integrity and credibility gone in our political society?

If the NDP and Conservatives want to launch a campaign that would counter such devious actions I would suggest they simply say; “We will double every increase in benefits and wages the Liberal government has offered.” It may work! Sad, isn’t it?
