Theft over $5,000

City police began an investigation in March after receiving a report that someone had taken money left in trust for two minors. It’s alleged that their older halfsister transferred more than $60,000 into her own account, then spent it. She was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of theft over $5,000. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the children involved.
