Grown in Music

Also, The Play Café is offering a new drop-in program called Grown In Music. Led by Emily Warren, RECE and Children’s Theatre teacher, the program uses puppets, instruments, movement, music, and stories to encourage children’s cognitive, gross motor, and emotional development. The class is geared towards children ages one through 4, but older children have also joined in.

Each class begins with a hello song, then includes vocal warm ups, new songs, rhythm exploration, puppetry games, yoga, stories, and acting games and ends with a guitar song. The time is structured to provide a challenge, yet flexible enough to be enjoyed by the youngest participants.

Grown in Music classes take place Saturdays at 11a.m. on July 15, 22, and 29, and August 19, and 26. The cost is $10 per child and $5 for siblings, plus tax. For further information visit http://playcafepeterborough.com/
