4th Line Theatre offers discount for veterans
MILLBROOK - Millbrook’s 4th Line Theatre is offering $3 off tickets for all Canadian military personnel and veterans for the rest of the run of its production of David S. Craig’s Bombers: Reaping the Whirlwind. The discount is being offered through new funding from Veterans Affairs Canada’s Commemorative Partnership Program announced Monday. The production tackles the controversial subject of the Allied tactic of bombing German cities during the Second World War. Bombers: Reaping the Whirlwind follows Canadian bomber crews as they struggle to win the war and revisit their memories of the war in the present day, according to a release from 4th Line Theatre. The production continues nightly at 6 p.m. with the final show Saturday. All military personnel and veterans who identify themselves at the time of booking tickets for all remaining performances of Bombers: Reaping the Whirlwind can get the discount, subject to ticket availability. For military personnel and veterans who have already seen the show prior to 4th Line receiving the funding, the discount will also be available for the upcoming production of Robert Winslow’s The History of Drinking in Cavan, the release states. Tickets can be purchased by calling the 4th Line Theatre Box Office at 705-932-4445, online at 4thlinetheatre.on.ca, at 4th Line Theatre’s box office at 4 Tupper St., Millbrook, or at the Peterborough Museum and Archives on Armour Hill in Peterborough at 705-743-5180.
