Khadr was a traitor, pure and simple

-

I have read and re-read Jenny Carter’s rebuttal to my Omar Khadr letter and try as I might I can’t understand her position in this matter.

Khadr is a confessed terrorist, not a uniformed soldier in a regular army in a declared war. He is a terrorist.

They wear no uniforms, they bomb, kill, behead and terrorize innocent people in order to intimidate and coerce them through fear to accept there dominance.

This is who Khadr and his family were fighting for when he was wounded. He was and is a traitor to our Canadian values.

You say he was 15 and he was obeying his father, please don’t use his age to excuse him, I am sure if we ask our European immigrants we hear lots of stories of 15-year-old males and females who fought for the resistance in occupied countries during the Second World War.

Difference being they fought for freedom not to subvert the population as the Khadr family did. Your assertion he was obeying his father is pure speculation and I believe your way of garnering sympathy for this traitor.

You say this traitor to our Canadian way of life has suffered enough, can you not see the wounded and maimed members of our armed forces who fought the “Khadrs” in Afghanistan and their suffering. This present Trudeau we are enduring certainly did not offer them the same compensation, they have to fight the very gov’t they served for the ability to survive.

As you can see, Mrs. Carter, we are at opposite ends with the Khadr debacle, I do however concur with the last paragraph of your letter and I quote, I believe in love, rather than hate, and I do not believe that the limitless thirst for wealth of a few psychopaths should be allowed to destroy our world.

I could not have described the Khadr payout any better.
