The Peterborough City Havelock Metal U13 girls posted an undefeated record to win the Gloucester Invitational Soccer Tournament last weekend.

Peterborough beat the West Ottawa Soccer Club 4-2 in penalty kicks after playing to a 0-0 tie through regulation time. Scoring PK goals were Danielle Davis, Kate Bemrose, McKenna Horton and Clarissa De Leon.

In pool play, Peterborough opened with a 2-2 tie against the Hornets on goals by Bemrose and Davis. City beat Hamilton Sparta 1-0 by edging them 3-1 in penalty kicks on goals by De Leon, Davis and Bemrose. They also beat West ottawa 5-1 with Evelyn Bonaldo and Bemrose scoring twice and Davis once.

The girls followed up that performance by defeating Darlington 8-1 in the Durham League Cup semifinal on Wednesday night. They will face Oshawa Kicks in the final at a date to be determined.
