PUMPKIN FESTIVAL: Pumpkin Festival at Buckhorn Berry Farm continues Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather peritting. Featuring barnyard animals, mazes, junior spook barn, haunted forest, obstable courses, bouncy castler, pumpkin bowling and the pumpkin cannon. Tim Holland performs family-friendly shows at 1 and 3 p.m. Admission is $8.50 per person or $30 for a family of four; children under 2 are free.

MUSEUM: Voices from the Engraver exhibit, featuring reproducti­ons of original art, printing plates, tools, rare stamps and money, offering an enriching look into the beauty and intricacy of Canadian stamps and bank notes, on display until Dec. 10. This travelling exhibit comes from the Bank of Canada Museum and was produced in part by the Canadian Museum of History. At 300 Hunter St. E., Museum Drive, on top of Armour Hill. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays. Admission by donation.

ART: The Kawartha Artists' Gallery and Studio presents Out of My Head, a solo art show and sale featuring abstract works from local artist Carol Forbes. The feature piece is Crystal Clang. The show runs until Oct. 22. The opening reception will be held at the gallery on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The gallery is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m. Admission is free. DINNER: Traditiona­l Indigenous dinner and movie fundraiser. An evening of Haudenosau­nee and Anishnaabe foods from local Indigenous growers. Dinner will be followed by a 45 minute film called

The Gift and also a short film about the Flint Corn Community Project in Nogojiwano­ng over the last three years. There will also be a silent auction of Indigenous made items from nearby Haudenosau­nee and Anishnaabe communitie­s. The fundraiser will benefit the Flint Corn Community Project, which aims to preserve and revitalize Haudenosau­nee flint corn as part of traditiona­l indigenous food and culture in the area.
