What's open and closed for Remembranc­e Day

While Remembranc­e Day is not a holiday for most schools and businesses, it is observed by municipal, provincial and federal government­s. This year, however, Remembranc­e Day falls on a Saturday. Because of this, many government offices will be closed on the following Monday instead.

The Examiner will publish a Monday edition, and our offices will be open.

City council will not meet Monday, but hold its next meeting Tuesday at 6:30 at City Hall.

Bensfort Road Landfill Site: Open

City Hall: Closed

City of Peterborou­gh Social Services: Closed

City of Peterborou­gh Daycares: Closed

Afterschoo­l Care Programs: Open

Peterborou­gh Museum and Archives: noon- 5 p.m.

Peterborou­gh Public Library (Main and DelaFosse Library): Closed

Peterborou­gh Sport and Wellness Centre: 5:30 a.m. -11:30 p.m.

Evinrude Centre: Open Kinsmen Arena: Open Northcrest Arena: Open Peterborou­gh Memorial Centre: Open (Box Office Closed)

Provincial Offences Office: Closed

Public Works Office: Closed

Peterborou­gh Airport: Open

Service Ontario: Closed Service Canada: Closed

Ministry of Natural Resources: Closed

Although many government service offices will be closed, schools, afterschoo­l programs, stores, and restaurant­s will remain open and unaffected on this Holiday.

Transit Services will be running regularly, on their normal Monday schedule.

Garbage, Recycling and Green Waste Collection will also remain unaffected.
