MUSEUM: Voices from the Engraver exhibit, featuring reproductions of original art, printing plates, tools, rare stamps and money, offering an enriching look into the beauty and intricacy of Canadian stamps and bank notes, on display until Dec. 10.
This travelling exhibit comes from the Bank of Canada Museum and was produced in part by the Canadian Museum of History. At 300 Hunter St. E., Museum Drive, on top of Armour Hill. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays. Admission by donation.
LECTURE: Trent University presents the annual Stairs Lecture featuring Dr. Philip Jessop talking about the origins of green chemistry, explaining how new technologies are assessed for their environmental impact, and introducing, as an example of a new technology, a “greener" paint. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15 ART: The Kawartha Artists’ Gallery and Studio presents Stretch Marks, an exhibition and sale featuring works from artist Donna Bolam, her daughter-in-law Dawn Bolam, and her granddaughter Emma Bolam.
