Marc Jacobs Daisy Anniversary Edition Eaude Toilette keeps its‘ timeless, yet young-at-heart ’scent
What it is: A special-edition release of the Marc Jacobs Daisy e au de toilette in celebration of the scent’s 10th anniversary.
The release features two new bottle designs: A limited-edition iteration and a deluxe version. Each includes the original flower-topped bottle designs, but with a twist .( Crystal-centred flowers and a frosted bottle for the former and a slightly mirrored bottle and a hand-paved top per featuring more than a thousand tiny crystals for the collector’s edition).
While the exteriors have been given an update to mark the occasion, the elixir inside remains unchanged. The scent, which was originally billed as being “timeless, yet young-at-heart,” is untouched.
The fragrance features top notes of violet leaf, grape fruit and strawberries; heart notes of garden ia, violet and jasmine; and base notes of sandalwood, vanilla and musk.
We say: Whether you’re a fan of this iconic Marc Jacobs fragrance, or are simply intrigued by the fancy bottle, you won’t be disappointed by this new release.
The Daisy scent is pretty and playful without being too young or sweet. Our tester was pleased with the smell on initial spritz, and enjoyed the way it remained light on the skin (although it’s not as long-wearing as some might hope).
The overall effect of the fruitand-floral mix is a universally appealing scent that can work day or night all year round.
