Downtown deals for Black Friday
Black Friday hits downtown Peterborough this week, with the Downtown Business Improvement Area promoting deals and bargains in the city core.
Parking will be free for two hours on Friday.
“D ow n t ow n Peterborough is a great place to find that interesting and unique present when you’re doing your holiday shopping,” states DBIA executive director Terry Guiel in a release. “On Black Friday, you’ll find some great deals, the parking is free and you could even win a downtown shopping spree with your Holiday Shopping Passport.”
The DBIA will use Black Friday posters and balloons to highlight downtown stores taking part in the sales promotion. There are more than 100 stores, restaurants, services and other businesses involved.
The free parking promotion runs until Dec .31.
“Shop downtown with your Holiday Shopping Passport for you chance to win one of three early bird prizes of $500 in downtown money and a grand prize of $1,500,” states a DBIA press release. “You’ll get a stamp on your Holiday Shopping Passport for every $10 you spend and every full passport becomes your ballot for the draws.”
