Spartans deny the Hurricanes
Mustangs drop a pair in boys high school hockey action
The Crestwood Mustangs lost a pair of games and the Holy Cross Hurricanes also lost in Kawartha high school boys hockey league action Tuesday.
The Cobourg St. Mary Thunder downed Crestwood 5-3.
Crestwood had goals by Sam Mason from Tristan Gray and Kolby Scott, Zach Cumby-Dallin from Carson Booth and Cody Spencer and Evan Downer from Mike Fisher and Jake Herron.
Isaac Kelly scored twice for St. Mary, once unassisted and the other on an assist from Curtis Mullins.
Austin Gilmour, Brody Fitzgerald from Jacob Tinney and Matt Cairns from Fitzgerald and Justin Brydges also scored.
The Campbellford Flames blanked the Cobourg Wolves 4-0 and also downed the Mustangs 3-1. Nik Skilton scored the lone Crestwood goal from Booth and Herron.
Zack Nicholson had a hat trick and Zack Lamb scored the other Campbell ford goal. Elijah Bra haney had three assists, while Liam Wells, Cameron Airhart, Kerain Hannigan and Jack Petherick also had assists.
The Lindsay Collegiate Spartans downed the Hurricanes 7-1. Cam Contois scored the lone Holy Cross goal, assisted by Mason Walker.
Shayne MacDonald had two goals for LCVI and Eric Russell, Alex Nicolaides, Cameron Nicholaides, Cameron O’Ryan and Damian Thomas also scored.
Tucker Firsth had two assists, while Boyd Masters, Nicholaides, Thomas, Nathan Rogers, Jacob Willcock and MacDonald also had single assists.
