Miracle Broadcast day
The Energy 99.7/Country 105 annual Miracle Broadcast will take place Saturday from the Lansdowne Place mall Saturday. The Miracle Broadcast is just one of the many events put on by the Salvation Army for the Hope
For All Seasons campaign.
The campaign has already held the Santa Shuffle Fun Run and Elf Walk in attempts to raise money for families in need during the holiday times. They now look forward to hosting The Miracle Broadcast.
Several businesses, service clubs and individuals will be dropping off donations of toys for the campaign to the bins at the mall during the Miracle Broadcast.
The toys will later be distributed to the toy shop at the Peterborough Armoury, a location where they will be packaged and presented to local children in need.
The Hope For All Seasons Campaign will also be hosting another event at the Lansdowne Place mall Saturday. Celebrity Kettle Day will be occurring with city police Chief Murray Rodd, city fire Chief Chris Snetsinger, Mayor Daryl Bennett, Coun. Lesley Parnell, veteran weatherman Dave Devall, former CHEX-TV personality John Blake of CHEX, Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal and Peterborough-Kawartha MP Maryam Monsef collecting cash in their kettles for the cause.
The on-air presentation of the total funds collected will occur at 2:30 p.m.
