Minimum wage hike will be bad for Ontario

-

The Liberal government minimum wage increase to $15 per hour will translate into a middle-class tax hike!

The cost of products and services will go up greatly to offset this 32 per cent tax burden placed on most small business. The increase in payroll remittance such as UE, CPC,

WSIB, etc. is on top of the hourly increase rate! Those that already are employed will now demand a rise as well.

Once again the Liberal government is playing Santa Claus, handing out hardearned money that they are confiscating from small businesses by holding a gun to their head and taking their money!

The question is what did the Liberal government contribute to helping minimum wage earners?

Nothing except forcing socialist tactics by making it law to steal from small businesses as they take the credit.

The Liberal government is the only true beneficiary of this business money grab for the sake of votes and more perceived tax revenue from all taxpayers! This however is a losing strategy, the minimum wage earner will pay more income taxes and pay more for goods and services, and more then likely have his or her hours cut back. The rest of society will pay more taxes on goods and services.

Entry level and student workers will have less job opportunities.

Small businesses will cut back hours and staff, fewer people will even venture into small businesses, couple that with the Trudeau’s Liberals tightening tax policies on small business and his carbon tax and you have a recipe for a high unemployment high cost of living society!

In Canada its not necessarily what you make at the end of the week its what you’re allowed to keep!

If the Liberal governments really what to help minimum wager earners and small business then let them ante up and simply raise the tax ceiling to five per cent for minimum wage earners!

In other words, take less tax and leave more in their paycheque at the end of the week. products and services stay the same, businesses can grow and hire more, entrepreneurs grow, and the middle class doesn’t get hit with paying the increase.
