Free Christmas meals in Peterborou­gh

Groups will be hosting free Christmas meals on Monday.

One Roof Community Centre will host a special meal at 4 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church at 99 Brock St. Snacks will be available throughout the day, but the program will not be serving lunch, organizers stated.

The program normally serves lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. and supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays and dinner from 5 to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Food Not Bombs will be offering free locally sourced food at Confederat­ion Square across from City Hall from 6:45 to 8 p.m. as well as every Monday – including New Year’s Day. Visitors are encouraged to bring containers to take food with them.
