Paw Print Days

Have you thought about getting a tattoo? Do you love animals or have a favourite pet? Inspiration Tattoo is once again offering their Paw Print Days, a chance for you to get that tattoo you have always wanted while supporting the Peterborough Humane Society at the same time. All proceeds from the day will go to the Humane Society to assist them with their work to help the animals in our community.

Paw Print Days takes place Jan. 25-28. There are nine different designs to choose from and the prices are very reasonable for a quality tattoo. Available are two styles of shaded paw print tattoos in small, medium or large that cost from $50 to $80. There are also two different styles of paw prints with hearts that cost $50 and $60 as well as a dog and cat silhouette for $60 that might appeal to the multiple pet owner. An infinity circle that includes paw prints and a heart costs $60. And you can add your pet’s name to any tattoo for an additional $10.

This event has been very popular in the past, so book your appointment now to ensure you get an appointment to get your tattoo. Inspiration Tattoo is located in Brookdale Plaza. Call 705-7456799.

Gift of Hope

During the month of December, you can make a donation to PRHC Foundation’s fundraising Gift of Hope campaign. Proceeds will be used for technology and essential equipment that allows the PRHC to deliver world-class patient care and attract and retain expert doctors, nurses and staff.

When you make your donation, a stocking with your name or message will be hung on a special fireplace mantle set up inside the PRHC lobby.

There are three ways you can designate your Gift of Hope. You can just buy a stocking (the suggested minimum donation is $10) and have it hung on the mantle. You can buy a stocking and make a donation in someone’s honour. A personalized e-card will notify them of the donation. You can also buy a stocking and express on it your gratitude to a doctor, nurse, or other PRHC staff member for care received for yourself or a loved one.

You can purchase your stocking and make your donation online by visiting www.prhcfoundation.ca, by calling the Foundation office at 705-876-5000, or by visiting the Foundation office at the hospital, located on the 4th floor, just past the main visitor elevators.
