Dickson scores four goals for Roughnecks

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Callum Crawford scored four goals and set up another and Jordan Durston had a hat trick and two assists as the Buffalo Bandits downed the Calgary Roughnecks 13-8 on Saturday in National Lacrosse League action.

Dhane Smith scored twice and set up three more and Kevin Brownell also had two goals for the Bandits (2-2). Justin Martin and Mitch Jones added singles. Jones had three assists for a four-point night.

Peterborou­gh Laker Curtis Dickson led the Roughnecks (1-3) with four goals. Dane Dobbie had two goals and one assist and Dan MacRae and Garrett McIntosh rounded out the offence.

Buffalo goaltender Alex Buque made 44 saves. Calgary’s Frank Scigliano stopped 38-of-50 shots and Christian Del Bianco allowed one goal on one shot.

Tom Schreiber’s 12-point night helps Toronto Rock down Vancouver Stealth 24-7

LANGLEY, B.C. — Tom Schreiber had five goals and seven assists and Adam Jones had four goals and six helpers as the Toronto Rock downed the Vancouver Stealth 24-7 on Saturday in National Lacrosse League action.

The Rock led 10-0 after the first quarter and 17-1 at halftime.

Rob Hellyer equalled Schreiber’s point output with three goals and nine assists, Kieran McArdle and Dan Craig each had hat tricks while Brett Hickey added a pair for Toronto (2-2). Reid Reinholdt, Billy Hostrawser, Sheldon Burns and Challen Rogers rounded out the offence with singles.

Logan Schuss had two goals and three assists for the Stealth (0-4) while Ryan Fournier, Peter McFetridge, Tony Malcolm, Evan Messenger and Corey Small added the others. Small also tacked on four assists for a five-point night.

Nick Rose made 33 saves for the win. Brodie MacDonald and Tye Belanger combined to stop 55-of79 shots in defeat.

Robert Church with six points, Saskatchew­an Rush down Georgia Swarm 13-8

DULUTH, Ga. — Robert Church had three goals and three assists and Jeff Shattler added a hat trick of his own as the Saskatchew­an Rush downed the Georgia Swarm 13-8 on Saturday in National Lacrosse League action.

Matt Hossack, Ben McIntosh, Jeremy Thompson, Mark Matthews, Matthew Dinsdale, Jeff Cornwall and Brett Mydske also scored for the Rush (3-0).

Shayne Jackson led the Swarm (1-3) with three goals. Jesse King and Zed Williams each scored twice while Randy Staats added a goal and two assists to round out the offence.

Peterborou­gh Laker Evan Kirk made 41 saves for the win as Mike Poulin allowed 13 goals on 54 shots in a losing cause.

Saskatchew­an went 2 for 4 on the power play while Georgia went 1 for 2.
