Ideas to keep kids busy during March Break

March Break is just around the corner – are you looking for activities for your kids? Here’s a list of some camps and workshops happening throughout the city. Art Gallery of Peterborou­gh: Art Camp March 12 to 16: Ages 4 to 7 – 9 a.m. to noon/ ages 8 to 11 – 1 to 4 p.m. Printmakin­g, tex-styles, astroart, landscape art, self portraits Register for whole week or a half day. Cost: Half days are $20. City families can apply for a fee subsidy to help with the cost of registrati­on. For subsidy informatio­n, call 705-742-7777 ext. 1827. Registrati­on: www.agp.on.ca Peterborou­gh Museum and Archives: March Discovery March 12 to 16: Ages 4 to 11 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drama and play, steam, curator in training. Kids can go all week or individual days. Cost: $40 per day. March Break Art Camp: Girls Camp. March 12 to 16: Ages 5 to 10 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost: Members fee: $202.50/ non-members fee: $225. March 13: Hula Hooping with Basia: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – drop in: Community Room, all ages. Three Musketeers: 2 to 3 p.m.: Live interactiv­e show – tickets: Community Room, all ages. March 15: Storytelli­ng with Aubrey Davis: 10:30 to 11:10 a.m. – tickets: Community room, all ages. Writing workshop with Aubrey Davis: 1 to 2:30 p.m. – registrati­on: Multipurpo­se room, ages 9 and up. March 16 : Tales of Peter Rabbit: 10 to 11 a.m. – tickets: Community Room, 3 to 10-years-old. Pick up a free ticket in advance to guarantee a seat. Canadian Canoe Museum March 12 to 16: Activity age ranges: 6 to 11 – 9:30 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3:30 p.m. Paddle painting, arctic adventures, woodworkin­g, paddle carving, paper arts, needle felting. Cost: Ranges between $17 to $22 for non members and $15,80 to $19.80 for members. Half or full day options: An extra $5 for supervisio­n over lunch hour for kids spending all day.
