International internship opportunities are available for Indigenous youth
An exciting opportunity awaits Indigenous youth who would like to experience life on another continent.
Canada World Youth is offering six-month international development internships for Indigenous Canadians to volunteer in Peru or Colombia. The Pathways to Indigenous Youth Leadership Program covers the costs of travel, food, accommodation, medical insurance, vaccinations, predeparture orientation, monthly pocket allowance and Spanish language classes.
CWY is looking for 34 Canadian Indigenous youth from 18 to 26 years old who have completed high school and are available from July to December, 2018.
Through their volunteer work in overseas development projects and access to training and mentorship, participants will increase their capacity to address international development issues overseas and in their own communities.
For more information, visit www.canadaworldyouth.org or call 1-800-605-3526 ext. 325.

The journals of John Graham Weir
1918 April 4, Thurs.
This morning I went with my nephew H. Roy Weir [of Trail, B.C.] to the G.T.R. Station. He is going back to Toronto to the Royal Flying School. The ground is froze quite hard this morning and a cold west wind all day.
