Therrien announces mayoral campaign team
Mayoral candidate Diane Therrien has announced the volunteer team that will support her bid for mayor.
Therrien, 32, is wrapping up her first term as Town Ward councillor, and announced last month she’ll be running for the top job.
Therrien has appointed Andy Cragg as campaign manager. Cragg is a project manager for a national association focused on the health of women and children.
Jocasta Boone, a local publisher and entrepreneur, is the campaign’s communications director.
Yvette Peplinskie, a chartered accountant and chartered public accountant, will handle campaign finances.
The team also includes Lauren Hunter, a former executive assistant to Peterborough-Kawartha MP Maryam Monsef, Jonathan Bennett, CEO of management consultant firm Laridae, and Galen Eagle, a communications manager and former journalist, who will serve as press secretary.
Therrien, who completed a master’s degree in Canadian and Indigenous studies at Trent University, has worked for the Peterborough Poverty Reduction Network, the YWCA and Trent.
Her website is www.dianetherrien.ca and her Twitter handle is @DianeNTherrien.
Restaurateur Cameron Green has also announced plans to run for mayor.
Incumbent Mayor Daryl Bennett has not announced his plans.
