Canadian figure skating Olympic and world gold medallists Patrick Chan, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, and Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford will be performing at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Nov. 9.

The tour follows Canada's gold-medal team performance at the Pyeongyang Winter Games.

The Thank You Canada Tour also features former world champion men’s skater Elvis Stojko, who now resides in the Peterborough area, and former world champion women’s skater Kaetlyn Osmond.

“This is a special group and we’re not ready for this ride to end,” stated Chan, a three-time world and 10-time national champion who retired from competition after the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics earlier this year.

“We want to keep performing and share our craft and our love of skating with all Canadians.”

“Visiting cities that don’t ordinarily get skating productions is particularly special to us, as we know firsthand how important grassroots programs are in small towns — it’s how we got our start,” stated Virtue, a five-time Olympic medallist, three-time world champion and eight-time national champion.

“Our hope is to inspire a new generation to pursue their goals fearlessly.”

The 30-city tour, announced Tuesday, will begin in Abbotsford, B.C. on Oct. 5 and will wrap up in St. John’s, N.L.

Tickets for the Memorial Centre show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Prices start at $31.75 plus fees.
