Watch for farm vehicles on area highways

- ELIZABETH PEETERS SPECIAL TO THE EXAMINER

Haying is in full swing in this area so be prepared for farm vehicles on the roads. Slowing down makes life safer for you and the farmer.

Farm vehicles can drive on the roadways and will display the familiar triangular sign. If you’ve never driven a tractor and wagon, you may not understand why farmers do not tend to move over onto the shoulder. Shoulders can be unstable and it is difficult to get back onto the road in location. Be patient and enjoy the countryside.
