Lakers fan bus available for road games

The Peterborou­gh Century 21 Lakers are sending a fan bus to the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre for games four and six (if necessary) of the MSL final versus the Oakville Rock.

The cost of the bus is $35 per person. Fans are responsibl­e for purchasing their game tickets upon arrival.

General admission tickets are $15, students and seniors $10 and children under 12 are admitted free.

The bus will depart the Memorial Centre parking lot on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and at 4 p.m. if Game 6 is necessary.

Call Diane at 705-874-5615 to reserve a seat. There will also be a sign-up table in the lobby during Game 3 on Sunday.

WLA final

Game 4 in the Western Lacrosse Associatio­n final went ahead Thursday night in Maple Ridge, B.C. A score was not available at press time.

The Maple Ridge Burrards, powered by former Laker Curtis Dickson, took a 2-1 lead into Game 4 against the Victoria Shamrocks.

The winner will head east to face the MSL champion for the Mann Cup starting Sept. 7.

Roster notes

Zach Currier slid back into the Lakers lineup for Game 2 after missing Game 1 to work commitment­s. Mark Steenhuis was moved up to an offensive righty spot and Turner Evans was scratched. Matt Vangalen was back in for Oakville after missing Game 1 to a prior commitment.
