Toonie admission Saturday at Speedway

With just a couple of events remaining in the track’s 2018 regular season schedule, the Trailers Plus Ontario Legends Series will join with the home track Battlefiel­d Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Super Stock and Late Model divisions; plus the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series for the year’s final Summer Toonie Night – presented by Pepsi – on Saturday at Peterborou­gh Speedway.

In the tour’s most recent event – last Saturday at Sauble Speedway – reigning champion Matt Haufe picked up the win and earned a guaranteed starting spot for the U.S. Legends Asphalt Nationals coming-up in October at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring.

Haufe claimed the checkered flag and secured the National Championsh­ip at the event in 2017.

Kevin Foisy, Joe Adams, Parker Traves and Jason Legge followed Haufe across the line at Sauble.

Following this weekend’s start at the Mount Pleasant Road track, the Ontario Legends Series will hit the road for a trio of September dates before returning to Peterborou­gh Speedway – Oct. 5 to 7 – to crown this year’s champion during the 26th annual Autumn Colours Classic.

The final Summer Toonie Night – presented by Pepsi – of the 2018 schedule is Saturday at Peterborou­gh Speedway.

Spectator grandstand admission is $2 and there will be a fan appreciati­on driver autograph session at intermissi­on.

Pit gates open at 1:30 p.m., with general admission access at 4 p.m. The first Great Canadian RV green flag is set for 5 p.m.
