Three charged in Campbellford raids
CAMPBELLFORD — Three people were arrested after cocaine, crack cocaine and crystal meth was seized during two OPP raids on Friday at homes in Campbellford. Cash and drug trafficking-related items were also seized after two search warrants were executed to raid homes on Trentview Crescent and on Bridge Street West in Campbellford, Northumberland OPP said. Community street crime unit officers from the OPP detachments in Peterborough, Northumberland, City of Kawartha Lakes, Caledon and Nottawasaga took part in the raids, police said. The street value of the cocaine seized is about $7,600, police said. Jeremy Richardson, 39, and Natasha Johnson, 31, both of Trent Hills, were each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, possession of other drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Robert Rutledge, 58, of Trent Hills was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Johnson and Rutledge
were released from custody and are to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on July 29. Richardson was held for a bail hearing in Peterborough on Friday. A fourth person from the Trent Hills area was arrested during the raids and held for a show cause hearing on an unrelated warrant.
