Three charged in Campbellfo­rd raids

CAMPBELLFO­RD — Three people were arrested after cocaine, crack cocaine and crystal meth was seized during two OPP raids on Friday at homes in Campbellfo­rd. Cash and drug traffickin­g-related items were also seized after two search warrants were executed to raid homes on Trentview Crescent and on Bridge Street West in Campbellfo­rd, Northumber­land OPP said. Community street crime unit officers from the OPP detachment­s in Peterborou­gh, Northumber­land, City of Kawartha Lakes, Caledon and Nottawasag­a took part in the raids, police said. The street value of the cocaine seized is about $7,600, police said. Jeremy Richardson, 39, and Natasha Johnson, 31, both of Trent Hills, were each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of opioids for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of other drugs for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Robert Rutledge, 58, of Trent Hills was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g. Johnson and Rutledge

were released from custody and are to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on July 29. Richardson was held for a bail hearing in Peterborou­gh on Friday. A fourth person from the Trent Hills area was arrested during the raids and held for a show cause hearing on an unrelated warrant.
