Water bottle policy a wash

-

I can’t believe there has not been a complaint yet about the new water restrictions in force at CN Centre.

I was there for the marvelous Cesar Millan seminar and was not able to purchase a bottle of water to drink. For some reason the vending machines are turned off or not functioning during a “concert” and you have to wait in line for a bottle of water.

After 20 minutes of waiting I was told that I could not have a bottle of water, it had to be poured into a cup and given to me. Seriously? So, are we conserving bottles of water now? Is the city trying to keep the bottle fee for themselves? Perhaps the core review discovered that the city could save $200,000 by saving water and selling alcohol instead?

By turning off the vending machines during a concert are they ensuring that more people will buy an alcoholic beverage. I was told that it was a city bylaw.

I would sure like to know why.
