The Prince George Citizen

Thank you to the RCMP

-

In follow up to my letter last Friday thanking the police for keeping us safe, but not to go on and on about it.

After hearing for sure that this person had a bomb!

I would like to add to this that this was very close for me and my family.

The four of us were walking on this narrow section of trail when the police came from in front of us and passed us with their welltrained dog by about, as I said before, 30 feet.

If these two officers and the dog had been 20 seconds later I dare to think what may have happened.

If this motorcycle had approached us from behind one or two of us may not be here, or all of us if the bomb had gone off.

Again of course I would like to thank the police and their dog, and the Lord for his part in this.

All too often we are quick to judge the police badly.

Their presence and expertise in this situation were handled very professionally. We are truly lucky to have such a professional bunch working on our behalf.

Thank you, B. Rosin Prince George

Here is a thought – since the lottery numbers drawn on Wednesday are done too late to be printed in the next day’s paper, instead of printing a box of nothing except the Lotto Max numbers, why not change this to being printed a day later when you have the numbers and everyone gets a chance to see them instead of getting frustrated by looking for them Thursday morning and finding nothing but a basically empty box there? Jean Lawrance

Prince George Editor’s note: That’s a good idea. As of today, the lottery numbers will run in the Tuesday and Friday editions of The Citizen. A reminder about the change will continue to run in Thursday editions until the end of September.
